In this episode, Matt Butler, elder at Lake Sherwood OPC, Orlando, Florida shares with us his nearly thirty-year law enforcement knowledge and experience. Matt discusses the reasons for having a plan, how to begin to create a plan, and what the most important steps should be in implementing a plan. About Matt:
Matt joined the Sheriff's Office in Orange County in Orlando in 1992 at 21 years old. Coming up on 30 years in July of next year, he's done a variety of things that has informed how he sees church security and the physical protection of the flock. Matt served on the SWAT team for 20 years, starting as an operator, he moved all the way up to assistant commander. He has been in investigations and narcotics and is currently assigned as a director of the Fusion Center, and also, the head of the intelligence unit. He deals with local and state issues, along with national and international issues.
