In this episode, deacon Tim Hopper, Shiloh OPC, Raleigh, NC, talks with author Dr. Cornelis Van Dam, Emeritus Professor of Old Testament studies at Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Van Dam joins us to speak about his book, The Deacon: Biblical Foundations for Today’s Ministry of Mercy , the biblical office of deacon, its history, both in the Old and New Testaments as well as the Church’s responsibility to provide for those in need.
